New co-ownership model blends luxury second homes with Europe’s golf lifestyle
August, the European platform for co-owned holiday homes, has introduced its latest Signature Collection: Son Vida. Designed for those who enjoy the balance of travel, leisure, and golf, the new collection offers four fully managed homes across the South of France, Tuscany, Mallorca, and the French Alps.
Shares in the collection start at €480,000, with each property co-owned by a group of 17 families. Homes are fully serviced and maintained by August, giving owners all the benefits of a second home without the hassle of upkeep.
Inspired by Son Vida, Mallorca
The collection takes its name from Son Vida, a refined hillside community in Mallorca long associated with golf heritage and understated elegance. Each property combines August’s signature design approach with features tailored to golf enthusiasts, including:
- Golf concierge services — August partners with Golf in Italy to offer owners support with bookings and tee times, as well as preferential rates at top courses.
- Prime locations — Every home is within an hour’s drive of some of the most prestigious golf clubs in its region.
- Ready-to-play equipment — Each property comes with two full sets of golf clubs available for use.
One couple from the Signature Collection, Penny and David, described their stay in Mallorca: “There are at least four or five courses within a half-hour drive, and when we stayed there with friends for a week, we played three rounds.”
A New Model for Second Home Ownership
Founded in 2018 by Mélie Dunod and Nico Watzenig, August reimagines second home ownership for modern lifestyles. Recognising that most second homes are used only about 35 days a year, the company offers access to a curated set of homes in multiple destinations through shared ownership.
