The 2023 AIG Women’s Open was played at Walton Heath for the first time in August. As well as showcasing the exceptional talent on the women’s tours, the Major championship also provided an enhanced fan experience and live music concert with Ellie Goulding on the Saturday night. In the end, it was American Lilia Vu who claimed her second Major, making it two in one year!
Over 51,000 fans came to support the final women’s Major of the season, one of the largest crowds to date. A trend The R&A will hope to continue when the event returns to the home of golf St Andrews in 2024. Tickets are already on sale – so make sure you get yours early.
