As the summer months approach, the Melanoma Fund is ramping up efforts to promote awareness of the dangers of UV exposure, especially among those who spend extended time outdoors. The charity is offering a comprehensive suite of free sun safety resources designed for sports clubs, schools, and outdoor professionals — ranging from the Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code to Slip! Slap! Swing! for golfers, and the widely adopted Sunguarding Course, which has already educated over 2,000 professionals nationwide.

“This month is not only about awareness — it’s about action,” said a spokesperson for the Melanoma Fund. “Through our campaigns and partnerships, we’re empowering communities to protect themselves and others, especially those most at risk.”

Supporters are encouraged to get involved in several ways this May:

“We believe prevention is better than cure,” the spokesperson added. “Every action — whether sharing a message, joining our ambassador programme, or donating — helps us build a future where fewer people suffer from melanoma and skin cancer.”
